With the drop in weight and increase in cardio, I’m really starting to enjoy this effect on my heart rate
Curious to see just how low I can get it now.

So can I finally poat here?!?! Assuming skiing counts. My legs certainly feel like it should.
Day one, teaching a friend mostly, but still managing to cover just under 60km.
I wish I had a smart watch now to record my heart rate. Had a pretty knarly moment of one ski deciding to eject itself and I carried on going down on the other. Pretty sure if I had a smart watch that would have made for a good peak heart rate!
I laugh at my watch when it’s keeps telling my off that my HR is too low.
Alerts when it drops below 40bpm for a few min.
Garmins will do that for you:
Until my RHR is showing 29 or less, I’m not worrying. I’m aware of some ultra runners who have scared the nurses on hospital wards when their pulses have been around 30, and they’ve had to reassure the nurses that that’s perfectly normal for them!
Pretty much my approach too
Back in the gym now.
Sketchy today. Very sketchy.
THAT’S MORE LIKE IT!
I trawled back through my parkrun’s photo album and found 2 comparable photos. The grey top is from March last year and the black top is from Saturday gone. A much more obvious difference this time (and yes, I’m showing off. I don’t do it much IRL so let me enjoy it!)
Wait… you overtook yourself??? Have you also got a DeLorean that does 88mph???
Also. Good effort mate! Top job!
Aren’t my editing skills just amazing…
Is it hard to run whilst wearing a yellow smiley face mask?
For the first time today someone emailed me with their Peleton ID in their work signature file. Is that a thing among Peleton users?
So got on it properly last week.
3lbs down first week. Take that
I am upset I can’t react with a vomit emoticon.
Great work. What’s your strategy?

If someone is raising money for a charity, I can forgive a JustGiving link and a Strava badge. Anything else, keep it to yourself.
Got to a point where i had lost 8 stone on it…then i put a couple back on
like this?
Losing 8 stone is phenomenal.
And we’ve all been there with the putting it back on; this is far from the first time I’ve tried to lose weight. We get to our goals, celebrate and then that cheat meal becomes a multi-year snackathon…
