First class log book filling out

Hey,
Do you fill out this part of the log book?
Also could anyone help with the map reading section?

Nope, a staff member in your squadron will sign that off to say you’ve successfully completed that section.

What issues do you have with the map reading?

Thank you, i was not too sure what to do with that bit
Map Reading- im not sure what to do with the 6 figure grid part

Throughout the log book, there are sections that cadets need to fill in that are then marked by staff. There are also activities to be carried out, based on activity sheets available to the instructor - that they will put you through. Once they are satisfied, they will sign the log book - the picture posted is of one of these activities based on a sheet you, as a cadet, do not have access to.

For the Grid References, you need to identify the Grid Red for each of the numbered arrows on the Potters Bar Map at the back of the book.

Alright, thank you!!

Its where I would expect it to be taught on Squadron, and how to can an accurate reading of the 3rd Nos (I.e. Using a compass)

Its great that your enthusiastic and doing it, I’m just surprised to be honest! We don’t even let our cadets take the books home.

To help your Sqn staff if you could put the date you did the lesson leave the middle box blank for their staff signature and put in the staff name in the last box. For example CI Smith etc.
When we have lots of cadets its so helpful Thanks!
