Hi everyone :)i ve been on site for almost 2 hrs searching for answer to my logbook questions and non of em gives answer i hope you can help me:(

  • advantages and disadvantages of main instrument ?
  • main use of each runways grass, triangular and instrument ?

main instruments allow for modern airliners to easily land and take off and can handle lots of traffic at all times of day in most weather conditions, however they are expensive to build and so normally only 1 is built at a time meaning that with wind changes you can have large amounts of crosswind.

Grass allows for a cheap and easily maintained runway so it is mainly used for private or flying clubs
Triangular allows aircraft to take off no matter which way the wind is blowing as there are 3 runways pointing in different direction
and main instrument are used in airports.

However shouldnt you be doing these questions on ulitlearn where its multiple choice. also if possible ask your staff for a copy of the ACPs or try and find one online (cant remember which one it is)
Also dont be afraid to ask your staff or experience cadets these questions

Hello thank you very much for the answer bless you. As you can see i have been online googling for these answer but none of them gives answer even ultilearn resources! I almost wanted to cry as it took me 2 hrs to search. But i am on holiday and be back in 2 weeks that i have no contact with sq. I am in rush because i need to complete these before i am allowed to apply for BTECs. :frowning: they given me logbook at last minutes when i am on holiday and do it as "homework ".
