Tell that to any unit that uses Crowborough… They’ve always been communal for as long as I’ve been in the org, and I can’t see them spending money on that camp to make them non-communal. Most of the staff accommodation is near-communal too.
I did an Odiham camp a few years back, and same as you we took blues too. It was all tented, but we set up an ironing area in one of the larger group area tents. Worked fine for us!

I’ve not heard that before. As far as I’m aware the schools we draw from all have communal shower/changing facilities and there’s nothing about it in the NSPCC guidance on changing facilities.
Ah I was confusing it with the rules for boarding schools. Camps seem to be OK due to it being temporary.
