Festival of Remembrance 2016

Great to see the cadets acting as Guard of Honour.

12F? Very smart.

It was a mix of cadets from across London Wg. A cadet from Kent Wing paraded the Corps Banner and a VR(T) officer from Essex Wing represented the VR(T) in the muster.

All very smart and a credit to the organisation !

Thanks!

And to give credit where credit is due, the bootie that sounded the Last Post, best I’ve heard for years, crystal clear, & pin sharp. As always, an incredibly powerful piece of music.

MJ - just finished watching the FoR off iPlayer. The Last Post must have been cut in from the afternoon’s performance because there were a few bum notes at the beginning at the evening performance; I was luckily enough to be attendance.

Thanks for the update - I’ve tried several times in the past for tickets but no luck - still a cracking bugle performance.

As a member of an RBL Branch you can apply through that route with more luck than Joe Public…

Two of our members after having no luck got evening tickets through the ballot, got ‘spares’ for the evening in early October, but you need to be an RBL member. We got a panicky email in August which said for security reasons the RBL needed applicants place of birth. No idea why.

That sounds like they were doing some sort of background checks for which the place/date of birth are often asked for.
