Hi all,
Would a cadet having standard FAAW (not emergency) on a 3-day course qualify them for Silver AFA? I’ve looked on the forum but can’t see an obvious answer - apologies if I’ve missed one!
Thanks!

Yes, it would - RAFAC accepts it as an alternative to the AFA course:
The Activity First Aid qualification is owned by St John Ambulance (SJA). This course is the standard for all CFAVs and Staff Cadets to support all RAFAC activity and is approved by the MoD. However there are many other first aid courses available outside the RAFAC such as First Aid at Work. RAFAC accept all compatible qualifications. Normally they must be of at least 16 hours duration and cover the same topics as Activity First Aid course. If in doubt check with your WFAO.
Wonderful, thank you very much! Apologies for not being able to check policy docs, a great bane of my life too!
