I’ve rejoined my old Sqn as a CI, applying for commission for many reasons.
Does anyone have any gd Gen/info on Wg and Gp Capt interview/board.
Plus gd info on RAFAC, RAF and other pertinent subjects that have cropped up in the past,
West Mercian region Wg Info if poss and more Gen ATC info, it’s changed a lot since 1985.

Have you been offered a ‘pre-uniform’ course? A lot of it may be irrelevant given your experience, but what would be useful is they normally cover what to expect for the interview stages. Although it should be standardised, it may vary by area.
Might be worth reaching out to your Wing Training Officer, or similar, and ask for a chat? I’m sure they’d be willing to have a Teams call to go through any questions or queries.

Major changes are the online shift onto Bader/SMS/Volunteer portal and accessing documents via Sharepoint. Since 1985 a lot would have changed regarding safeguarding policy and processes and particular equality, diversity and others. You probably have seen the progressive training syllabus, the things around Cyber & Space. Corps camps that cover specialist courses. Wing wise is very much the structure although people would have changed, I imagine the structure will be similar, there will be new roles reflecting the last 40 years, 1st Aid officer, Cyber officer (instead of radio) etc however all info is out there.
No, as well as, both are established posts now though some wings continue to combine them
