Even the RAF are struggling with slots!

Not exactly “news” but further proof of how stuffed the situation is…

Simply not enough investment, serviceable airframes or instructors - good job there isn’t a potential major international war looming - oh wait!

Efficiency in the private sector means. If it costs £5 but we can make it work for £1, they will spend 1 and hope nobody notices. Lots of MOD money has gone in profit to private contractors.
Draken International is probably one of the more capable and largest air force in numbers of fighter and strike aircraft in the world. Certainty top 20. Yes, older aircraft but also F16s

But it’s not the private sector element of MFTS that is broken. Accent are providing exactly what is required of the contract.

It is the military input at the end of the training pipeline that is at fault. This is causing the backlog which leads to ghost courses being run by Accent, were the MOD are choosing to not load with a single student, in an effort to not make the backlog (and student time spent on ‘hold’) worse.
