Efficiency in the private sector means. If it costs £5 but we can make it work for £1, they will spend 1 and hope nobody notices. Lots of MOD money has gone in profit to private contractors.

But it’s not the private sector element of MFTS that is broken. Accent are providing exactly what is required of the contract.
It is the military input at the end of the training pipeline that is at fault. This is causing the backlog which leads to ghost courses being run by Accent, were the MOD are choosing to not load with a single student, in an effort to not make the backlog (and student time spent on ‘hold’) worse.
