Eurovision

Def some lyrics in the German entry the Mods wouldn’t allow to be posted here

Again, I think you mean Finland.

Ich Komme, although a German title, was the Finnish entry.

And yes, it’s NSFACC.

I’m also curious as to how Iceland doesn’t have any points.

Also a surprise that Armenia is so low.

Nope, definitely not

It was in the German song where she stage whispers to one of the dancers/band

I can’t even see her doing that action to catch where you’re referring to.

It was quite brief

Anyway, Austria’s winner was nice enough, but not terribly exciting?

The missus is having a straight up aneurysm this morning.
Something about completely rejecting the results and not recognising the authority of the peoples vote.

Who knew her home country not coming first would trigger such a visceral reaction.

Time the UK (BBC, sorry the UK tax-payer) backs out of the whole thing.

I wonder just how much comes from the BBC funds, when all we get is repeats back home.

Cartman says it best…

I was reading a conspiracy theory last night that Israel was buying votes and that’s how they performed so well.

Politics aside, I actually thought she was an impressive singer and it was a good song. God forbid people should vote for a song that was well performed.

But I don’t think we had the right winner; it was Armenia for me.

I think it’s less of a conspiracy, more of a possible mis-direction but with strong merit to being real. Israel were spending significant amounts of cash on adverts on places like Youtube. It’s not ‘buying’ votes per-se, but is close enough.

For example, this is the type of Ad ifrom Denmark:

The ad being paid for by an Israeli Government department, too.

Apparently they were paying for ‘physical’ ads too in the like of Times Square etc.

Or, people just approve of genocide now.

Fighting for the minority is too mainstream now.

Only in Malmö.

Malmö’s a bit iffy. Must be all the Danes who come over on the train then see the Swedish bar prices!

Ahh at the second home, Stockholm for a few days

I have colleagues who live in Malmo and are on danish contracts out of the copenhagen office.

Ballers

I like Stockholm and Gothenburg. Malmö / Lund less so. The south (Skåne) has some interesting bits but also a lot of post industrial problems.

Back to Eurovision?

Nah, I keep thinking about this £75k house from my wife’s home town and how I now want to move there

Men, jag kunde bara båda bastu i källaren… (Tentative Eurovision link - there is literally a sauna in the basement.)

Mad that that’s 75k. I remember you linked a house before that was a similar price, and similarly fantastic looking.

God our housing market is screwed.
