Engineering kits?

Hi,

we’ve got a lot of cadets on sqn interested in engineering.

We would like to find some engineering/STEM kits that would be suitable for them to get some hands on experience with engineering.

Does anyone know of any good resources?

MTa does a cheaper STEM kit (you can upgrade it to an Insights kit later too).

I think Lego and Rubick (as in the cube) also have some STEM stuff.

“engineering” is a very broad area.

Lots of good kits for electronic engineering with stuff like Arduino with displays and sensors.

Things like the raspberry pi for lots of simple software engineering projects.

What you get is really going to depend on who’s running the activity and what they already do or do not know.

Are there any good reusable kits for engines / propulsion?

I’ve been thinking about this area recently. Was wondering about some model aircraft engines and mount them into stands like this.

With the right engine(s) I suppose I could get cadets to disassemble and re-assemble the engine and run it?
