Surprised this didn’t exist before, to be honest! The fact that (it would seem from the article) that UKAF had to rely on the local constabulary to deal with UAS incursions is simple astounding to me!
It does make sense, they will kit out the local guard services with some drone jammers and DF kit to find the operator most likely.
Drones are becoming more and more of a nuisance. With the introduction of RID it should also stop some of the nuisance operators who just don’t realise.
Just fly without it turned on if you are doing something dodgy.
I think it will become mandatory eventually.
