That is true but as some roles aren’t primary they force people to double hat. Unless it’s a Narnia Wing with loads of spare staff, so a CFAV without an exec role can do it
TBH coming from a CCF perspective the idea that anyone can hold a Wing/Regional staff post as their only responsibility is laughable. I remember when I found out the ACF’s list of ‘extra-regimental employment’. We are used to juggling multiple school responsibilities.
But I’ve discovered it does happen, although I sense that staff posts being secondary is more common?

Ouch! My primary role in the CCF is the equivalent of Region Staff, but I deal with projects, ceremonial, boards etc. And of course most of that is in school term time (I don’t normally deal with schools - just the staff)… So to run a Sqn is keeping me in touch with cadets and mentoring up and coming officers
