Double-booked, what's the best way to go about it?

I’ve made a bit of a mistake… I’ve been offered NCO IC of a camp I’ve been on before, and it will be my last year I can do so. I also, earlier in the year, before dates came out for this camp, applied for Gold Cyber. I’ve now been selected for the course, and the dates overrun.

I’m moving to the other side of the country in the summer, and I don’t want to mess with reigonal allocations, and I won’t be able to make my way to the Gold course. My staff aren’t aware yet, as I’m not 100% sure if I’m moving.

What’s the best way of going about taking my name off of the course? Do I just withdraw, or should I speak to my OC about this? I want to attempt and make this as pain-free as possible for everybody involved :sweat_smile:

You’ve hit the nail on the head already.

Speak to your OC, give them as much notice as possible. Should you end up moving it may mean they have someone else ready to fill the gap.
100% don’t just withdraw and say nothing.
