You need to ask this of your squadron as it is their expectations you will need to meet.
There isn’t a standard protocol for this and it will vary by unit.
Personally, I’d probably have you sitting on a chair at the side.
You have broken your leg and you are the one who is going to go to the office to get them to come out? Seems an add choice.
