CS95 MTP - Can we wear it?

I know we can wear the PCS version, but I’m unsure on the CS95 one?

Yes, crack on.

And enjoy the dress regulation related confusion you will likely sow when you do wear it!

Except this weekend.

My Bold

Not that I deal with this sort of thing on a daily basis… but no one has yet to explain how combats = PPE…

And on a DCCT?! Really?

I am protected in case a combat situation arises, they will never find me. Naturally I will also have my cam cream on and ferns in my webbing so I am able to blend in if required.

Technically no. It’s an obsolete uniform that was issued for Op Herrick and Op Herrick only.

I wouldn’t stop you though.

No more obsolete than CS95 DPM…

“Required under the Safe System of Training” my BOTTOM

No, but CS95 in woodland DPM was issued for wear in the UK. CS95 in MTP was issued for Herrick, hence why it’s all lightweight, ripstop stuff, ie: the same fabric as desert DPM was printed on.

The biggest problem folks will have if they’re wearing CS95 in MTP is that it was only ever intended to last for about six months of use once taken out of the packet.

Though I’d imagine that 6 months of operational use in Afg should equal quite a long time in terms of cadet use in the UK.

So, get shot at on the course at all? Or did the combats provide suitable “PPE cover”?

Would not have felt safe without them!!

Probably, I wouldn’t want to be the bloke whose combats explode off his VRT physique in front of a gang of teenagers, though.
