Hopefully just a misinformed cosplayer that just so happens to be posing in front of an Air Cadet PR stand…

I read this on PPRuNe this morning…

I’d not previously noticed the background though

Thankfully it appears he has nothing to do with us.

Still…what a tool

Personally don’t know why people are getting excited.

Go to any event where reinacters get together you may well find people like this. They pose near/against anywhere and anything for the right effect.

Given that you can buy any of the items we could all dress like this, if we so wished.

Does anyone know if he is as dressed?

If you mean by this, is he a serving or ex-serving Group Captain, the chances of that are virtually zero.

He’s a cos-play/com-con science fiction fan in fancy dress, playing the part of Gp Capt Chunky Gilmour RAF Regt, a character from the TV programme ‘Dr Who’. A bit like Captain Jack from Torchwood, but…less complicated.

Let’s hope he doesn’t have a Webley, though…

It’s a little known fact, but all Gunners are still conduct anti-Dalek training in case of another incursion.

Yes…their frightning mechanical voices constantly-repeating “Exterminate! Exterminate!”, a frequent preference for deploying ramps when confronted with stairs, and not forgetting those scary sink-plungers…

Mind you, though, the Daleks aren’t much better… !-D
