I’ve seen that the CASWO now has specific insignia similar to the RAAFs WOFF-AF (attached)

Are you sure about this? I understood that the CASWO was to wear a shoulder ‘mini mudguard’ with the letters ‘CASWO’, but, as for a brand-new rank-super-WO badge…that’s unlikely, but I suppose not impossible
Any chance you may be confusing the MACR badge as being a CASWO badge?

No, I’m talking rubbish, you appear to be quite correct
Its fairly new I think. Before he just wore normal WO rank but in No1s with a name badge saying ‘CASWO’ and in No2 CASWO was embrioded on his rank slides.
I saw one of him in No5s with the new Army Sgt Major and the RN equivalent and they all have super badges now…

Australia & Canada has had ‘super badge’ for awhile
And NZ has a similar badge for the WONZDF senior enlisted of the WHOLE NZDF think enlisted CDF
