Can you wear brown boots with DPM

Can a CI wear brown boots with DPM at Nijmegen

Nope. They still need to be dressed “correctly” as per the cadets, even if they are forced to wear uniform by the Dutch military.

With a realistic head on, I’d suggest no one will bat and eyelid or be that worried, particularly as you are a CI, not uniformed staff or a cadet. They aren’t exactly going to send you on the next bus home (they reserve that for people failing CDT).

Lawyer point: Normal dress regs don’t apply at Nijmegen in various ways. Nijmegen dress regs stipulate brown or black boots.

Practical team leader note: If you have trained in brown boots all year. Don’t switch now as you will damage your feet and mess up your chances. You completing the marches so more important than the colour of your boots. It’s a stupid rule.

Doesn’t 1358C state CIs are not allowed to wear DPMs?

It does, but Nijmegen requires it. They need to get it properly harmonised.

And it has been ratified by HQAC to allow CI to wear uniform while taking part in the marches. If you have a local SNCO spouting off, ask him to read the DIN for Nijmegen and ACATO 18. it will clarify the situation.

b. Skill at Arms Instructor Courses. Civilian Instructors attending Skill at Arms Instructor courses may wear CS95/PCS-MTP during training periods and ranges only. It is not to be worn outside the training environment eg. transit to and from messes and accommodation on Military units. When worn CIs will conform to the full dress regulations as per cadets, including beret and ATC beret badge.[/quote]

It can be worn, and if it is Cis should dress to match the Cadets in No3s
