Apparently, you can apply for direct entry into uniform: but you wouldn’t know it because https://join.raf.ac only lists the roles of CI, CGI, Chaplain, and CivCom member.

Where have you seen you can do direct entry into uniform? Are you reffering to CI to uniform or cadet?

You can go directly into uniform as an SNCO. Even as a complete stranger to the organisation.

yes as already an snco you can not a ci or newly joining as you have to wait a year from appointment date.
