Can cadets see events if they are not shared on Cadet Portal?

Had a discussion with a staff member on what events a cadet can see on their CP. My niece has been added to an event by the SME with the agreement of the Sqn OC. My niece needs to see the event documentation to action the pre-course admin and get the Teams link. The event is aimed at staff and staff cadets an has not been shared on CP

If an event is not shared on CP than it will not appear for a cadet. Agreed.

If a cadet is added to an event, will the event appear in their cadet portal even though the event has not been shared by the Sqn Commander?

Yes.

It’s also worth noting that any staff member can share an event to Cadet Portal, not just the Sqn Cdr.

We’ve also discovered that you need to ensure all dates are in the future on the cadet portal SMS tab.

We had an issue where we believe the activity commander moved an event back, and our cadet couldn’t see it because the cadet portal dates don’t change automatically.
