Camp attendance age

All,
I can’t get onto Bader but what is the minimum age to attend an annual camp??

I have a cadet aged 13-2 a camp place is available for next week… I know what my head says but don’t want to get the cadet then burst his hopes in a few hours…

Minimum first class cadet. Not sure on age

Thanks for the information

I am taking cadets away under 13 next week, WExO is happy with a small number of them who are “physically able and mature enough”

Its surprising that since HQAC changed the policy on starting age they haven’t issued instructions updating each activity and ages for participation.

No, I don’t think it is.

Was there not an edict that said all cadets can take place in all activities except where there is a specifics age in which case the specific age remains in force. Giving the examples of Flying & L98 shooting.
ATTENDANCE AT CAMPS
30. Eligibility - UK Camps.

d. Cadets. Cadets selected to attend a camp must have been enrolled and be qualified to First Class cadet or above. Although there is no minimum age for cadets attending UK camps, Sqn cdrs are to ensure very young cadets attending their first camp are aware that bouts of homesickness can ruin their enjoyment and experiences.
CCF cadets must normally be members of the RAF Section allocated to the camp and have completed basic training. However, subject to prior HQ AC agreement, similarly qualified CCF cadets of the Army and RN sections may attend an RAF camp on a ‘top up’ basis.
