Cadets Non Attendance to activities

Hi All,

I’m having a bit of a mare at the moment getting cadets to
A )sign up to activities (apart from flying funnily enough)
and
B ) they pull out of the activity at the last minute - or as one of my (newly promoted Cpls) said to me never put his name down in the first place.

So, what do you lovely people do to get the numbers required and keep them from flaking out.

We do the ‘standard’ Cadet/Flight Points, and taking part all is taken into consideration towards promotion etc.

Anything Else?

Its an odd one.

Things they really want to do, they’re not a problem.

The supporting your sqn ones tend to require reminders and making sure they have told there parents before commiting, or convincing them of how fantastic this activity or event will be, so they do tell their parents and then they tend to turn up, as their parents dont let them forget.

This current generation also relies so much on social media we use our closed group facebook page a lot for updates a lot ehich helps
