ACTO 071 does allow cadets to deliver the Bronze Cyber Course, provided certain requirements are met.
Cadets who have completed ALL of the following can teach Bronze Cyber to
Cadets.
(1) Completed the RAFAC Cyber Specialist ‘Silver’ Course
(2) Completed the Method of Instruction Course.
(3) Attended a Bronze Cyber Instructor Course
Previous Gold Courses on Cosford (this is explicitly the RAFAC’s own gold, and not the CyberFirst, I know both are delivered on Cosford nowadays) have included a module on being a bronze instructor.
If your course also included this (mine back in ‘23 did for example) you will have (3) ticked off and you’ll have been provided with an instructor number and added to this page which your staff can access.
If you’ve been explicitly told that you aren’t eligible, It may be (entirely hypothesising) that the Gold Course no longer includes that module, so your CI completed GC as a cadet when it did.
Note this is all moot once the new courses are released, but that’s not likey to be soon…
That said, there is no centralised Bronze instructor course or course folder. So how that is organised is down to your wing cyber officer (or wing radio officer if there is no cyber officer yet).
Also this is a Bronze course and so best delivered at Sector or Wing level. Although it can be run at a Squadron cadets get more out of it if they work with those from other units.
Suggest contacting your wing team via your OC or Trg Off to see what is in place locally.
They still need to attend training carried out by an authorised train the trainer and be signed off (it is actually the Region radio / cyber officer who holds that authority but they can delegate it to a train the trainer).
There is necessarily some flexibility around approving a CFAV. They might have a cybersecurity degree or a teaching qualification, which cadets won’t have.
