Cadet Portal Welcome emails not being sent

Anyone any info on SMS no longer sending out the welcome emails and that we are unable to re-send same? Any timeline for a resolution and a way (once it is fixed) of sending out those that didn’t get sent, unless of course they are all in a giant queue somewhere and will magically appear at some stage?

When’s the last time you tried? Digital team checked on Wednesday evening and these were being sent out.

There was an email with a work around:

Use this link: https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/

• Enter their email address (theirCIN@rafac.mod.gov.uk) when prompted.

• Follow the instructions to complete the password reset.

Follow up question. We had a large intake during the time it wasn’t working. Can we just send password reminders from SMS or do we need to do the above for all of them?

I just tried a “re-send” but it didn’t come through

Sadly you need to go through the above process with each of them. Fortunately it’s a good opportunity to introduce all recruits to cadet portal.

Are you trying send from SMS or units?
I’ve been told it’s broken in SMS but works in units

you can’t trigger Cadet Account Password rests from Units atm, thats new CFAV emails that you’re thinking of.

Ahhh ok, it’s rather annoying that I don’t have access to see this stuff as someone who’s supposed to help support people.

Anything in units at a sqn level.
It’s been a bugbear since early in the SMS days. As a Bader POC unless you’re on a sqn you can’t see the same view. Makes it harder to support

Ahhh well in this particular case, User Accounts and Cadet Portal access is still only in SMS.

Just (Tues 22nd) created a dummy new cdt with my personal email address. No welcome email received

Welcome email received at 3am today so my earlier post was wrong
Any news on when re-send option will be fixed?
