Cadet Portal Password Reset Issues

I joined CCF in September and my squadron only just thought of issuing cadet portal login.

Everyone was told they would have got a welcome email, however they didn’t because nobody had an email on their profile.

Everyone then got login email and tried to reset their password but got the below issue.

I then suggested you need a phone number to verify, but it’s been about 25 minutes since they added a phone number for me and it’s still giving the same issue.

I’m supposed to doing AEF in less than two weeks and obviously need Cadet Portal for base access. So any help would be greatly appreciated

It’ll typically take more than 20 odd minutes for changes to filter through the system. If you still can’t set a password tomorrow then your staff will be able to get support to look at it.

Is there not still a sync at midnight for some things between the Bader backend and Microsoft? Ie, any updates won’t take effect until the next day? Or is that JPA?

Still not working now so I’ll look again in the morning then email my Squadron Leader if it isn’t working still.

Tbh I don’t remember, I just assume and advise wait a day :person_shrugging:

It’s an overnight sync to Microsoft for contact details.

Managed to get it to work this morning! It gave me the option to verify with email and someone that didn’t have a phone number managed to get on so it was obviously just because it hadn’t synced the email or phone number.

However now I can’t log into my RAFAC, it just goes back into the welcome page when I sign in.

Can I assume you’re using your new ‘Cadet Portal’ password for MyRAFAC as well? If not then you need to, as it’s the same Bader account behind both.

It accepts the login on the Microsoft page which is the same account and says “please wait loading your profile” then goes back to the welcome page

Have you tried force-closing the MyRAFAC app (swiping up on an iPhone, not sure about others)?

I’ve always had the same issue with myRAFAC, and from reading the reviews on play store, I think it just doesn’t work for CCF unfortunately.

How can I get ID to get on base then?

You can still ask for and use the paper ID that came before MyRAFAC, I believe.

It is definitely supposed to, since Nov 2024 there’s an article on the Bader Sharepoint noting that it will give cadets access to Digital ID. There’s plenty of ways that might have gone wrong, on multiple levels, so check with your local staff who can check your record on Bader has been correctly synced from Westminster, and report it if that has happened and it still doesn’t work.
