Have you tried from a different browser? Looks like it could be Google being the greedy behemoth it has a habit of being and not letting you use any different credentials to log in.
I think this is actually microsoft trying to use your live (microsoft) account. not sure a way around this.
my live Microsoft account is the one i should be using for cadet portal

You should not be using your personal email address to log in to Cadet Portal.
You should be using your Cadet ID (CIN) number @rafac.mod.uk. your CIN is also the number you use to log in to Ultilearn.

I couldnāt see the wood for the trees. Figured that Google was overriding.
Go back to your original Cadet Portal Welcome email. . .It told you the username to login with.
