Cadet achievements poster

After seeing something similar at a neighbouring squadron, I’ve whipped up a quick poster that will be filled in gradually over the year to provide an eye-catching record of our successes (I’m going to print it on A2 or A1 at work so it’s nice and big).

I’ll admit that I’ve chosen to use larger boxes for the activities we do the most, and I’ve missed out boxes for activities we don’t really do. I’m still unsure of the wording for the “and the rest” heading. I don’t want it to sound like the other activities are lesser in any way, but I can’t think of better wording.

What do you think of the concept? As usual, feel free to use and adapt, but please share any modifications back on this forum.

I like it. If only we had room…

I do like that, simple, effective and a grat help when it comes to working out end of year awards and annual inspection stuff. Brill, thanks for sharing.

Any point in having the top right box?

Joking aside - it looks great - clean and simple!

B)

Very good - so much so that it should be ACO-wide… Have it as standard format - would be nice to have it printed with individual sqn name & crest, but that would add to the logistics.

I would suggest that Sport should be a separate area, as should Public Service.

Then have one additional area for “& the rest”

Do you really need a separate box for flying and gliding?

Fixed that for you.

No, probably not! As I said, feel free to modify and adapt.

I’ll try to make another version in the next few days that merges flying and gliding and uses the spare box for sports.

PS. If anyone in the Leeds-Sheffield-Rochdale triangle wants a large hard copy, I do a long journey every week that covers most of the area and I’d be happy to drop one off on my way past.

Could you manage please one in a cardboard tube if I paid postage, etc?

We use a magnetic whiteboard it does take some space but it’s a great aide and the cadets like taking a peek, the tiles are printed on magnetic inkjet paper which is easily available 4 A4 sheets from poundland.

I like this a lot! Might have to copy that…

PS: MikeJenvey check your PMs.

A lot have… Btw I have all the tiles in Corel draw form and most in jpegs, its much easier with the cdr format as I just layout a complete page of the ones I need…
I can supply the files

Very useful…

As I have an A1 printer at home (I’m a photographer part time) I’ll use it as another motivation tool.

Great poster, very many thanks - going inbound to Sqn this evening.
