After seeing something similar at a neighbouring squadron, I’ve whipped up a quick poster that will be filled in gradually over the year to provide an eye-catching record of our successes (I’m going to print it on A2 or A1 at work so it’s nice and big).
I’ll admit that I’ve chosen to use larger boxes for the activities we do the most, and I’ve missed out boxes for activities we don’t really do. I’m still unsure of the wording for the “and the rest” heading. I don’t want it to sound like the other activities are lesser in any way, but I can’t think of better wording.
What do you think of the concept? As usual, feel free to use and adapt, but please share any modifications back on this forum.
I do like that, simple, effective and a grat help when it comes to working out end of year awards and annual inspection stuff. Brill, thanks for sharing.
Very good - so much so that it should be ACO-wide… Have it as standard format - would be nice to have it printed with individual sqn name & crest, but that would add to the logistics.
I would suggest that Sport should be a separate area, as should Public Service.
No, probably not! As I said, feel free to modify and adapt.
I’ll try to make another version in the next few days that merges flying and gliding and uses the spare box for sports.
PS. If anyone in the Leeds-Sheffield-Rochdale triangle wants a large hard copy, I do a long journey every week that covers most of the area and I’d be happy to drop one off on my way past.
We use a magnetic whiteboard it does take some space but it’s a great aide and the cadets like taking a peek, the tiles are printed on magnetic inkjet paper which is easily available 4 A4 sheets from poundland.
A lot have… Btw I have all the tiles in Corel draw form and most in jpegs, its much easier with the cdr format as I just layout a complete page of the ones I need…
I can supply the files
