On 17 Aug 20, the Secretary of State for Defence, the Rt Hon Ben Wallace MP approved the creation of a Cadet Forces Warrant to acknowledge the value which Defence places on its senior non-commissioned Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
There is no requirement for individuals to apply for a Cadet Forces Warrant, they will be issued automatically to every RAFAC adult volunteer on substantive promotion to Warrant Officer. For recipients who were in rank on 17 Aug 20, the date of appointment will be the date of substantive promotion to the rank and the signature date will be 17 Aug 20. For recipients promoted after 17 Aug 20, the date of appointment will be the date of substantive promotion to the rank and the date of signature will be the date the Warrant is produced.
Cadet Forces Warrants will not be issued retrospectively to Warrant Officers who are now in receipt of the Cadet Forces Commission or other rank, nor will they be issued to those who left the organisation on or before 16 Aug 20.
There are currently approximately 600 Warrants to produce and issue for existing adult volunteers; due to Covid-19 this process will take some time and individuals need take no action.

I wouldn’t expect to see anything pre summer 2021
They’re coming. None of us know when as yet.
