Blue Wings query?

Hi there, I did my AEF just over a month ago now and I was just wondering what the requirements were for blue wings? On portal it says you need to complete one of the following: “You have completed a Gliding Induction Flight. You have completed AEF Sortie No.1 - Air Experience. You have completed an approved GIF Computer/VR Course.” of which I have done my AEF.

I was just wondering if I needed to do anything else to get the badge. I also went earlier this year when it snowed and I did the flight sim then but I don’t know if the documentation went through.

To earn your Blue Aviation Training Package (ATP) Badge you need to have done the following:

  • Passed Flying Operations subject of First Class
  • Complete a flight simulator session delivered by an authorised Blue ATP instructor
  • Complete a Gliding Induction Flight (GIF) or Air Experience Flight (Sortie 1)

Sortie No 1 – Air Experience. Exposes Air Cadets to flying in a cockpit environment, and the principles of flight.
