You could’ve put Roger Moore into an Austin Powers script and not noticed the difference he was ridiculous.

If Timmy Dalton had had the decent Craig scripts (lets forget QoS and Spectre) he would have been awesome

Living daylights is awesome.

Also a great history lesson ref Mujadean and early Taliban.

My personal favourites are in no particular order

  • Goldfinger
  • The Spy Who Loved Me
  • On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
  • Tomorrow Never Dies
  • The Living Daylights
  • Skyfall

100% if they had been able to get Pierce Brosnan at that time (he was first choice but was busy doing Remington Steele) he would’ve been perfect to be the Roger Moore Lite that the series needed to move on. Then Timothy Dalton in the 90’s would’ve been amazing.

QoS was rubbish, Spectre was alright, but Casino Royale and Skyfall are both fantastic.

Top 3 Bond Films for me:
Casino Royale
Goldfinger
On Her Majesties Secret Service

His wife was ill with cancer or had just died o forget which.
That’s why he didnt take it.

Ah that makes more sense

For me it’s Connery and Moore, growing up in the 70s Christmas and Easter wouldn’t have been the same without a Bond, The Duke and a war film.
I’ve tried watching Dalton, Brosnan and Craig, apart from the same Bond format, not quite the same.

Best to worse :

Connery
Dalton
Moore
Craig
Brosnan
Lazenby

Living Daylights (the opening sequence is superb)
Casino Royale
YOLT
Spy Who Loved Me
Goldfinger
