Yes. I think it has brought meaningful benefit.
Almost like an interactive build!

That would be awesome.

I have some feedback on this one @Baldrick

The reason we haven’t done that is that they provide a popup/tooltip and mobile devices like tablets don’t cope well when you want the tooltip and the ability to tap the link as well (if that makes sense) which is why they are not linked to things.

I am not sure there is much we can do about that one at the moment…

What about a separate little image underneath to act as the link?

Could you put the link in the tooltip?

Has anyone else noticed that the attendance widget seems a bit hit or miss on the dash board?

Some times its there and others its not.

During my investigation there was always a cadet that has reported not attending. Also always on a sqn night.

What is the framework around display/or not to display?

Why is there no Bronze Cyber Instructor qualification on Bader?

Seems like an oversight somewhere.

Good luck with that!

Known bug - we are aiming to get an interim release out with the fix shortly.

That’s interesting - is that a Wing-level account?

Oh hang on you mean the instructor one…wait one…

Do you have an ACP/ACTO reference for it please?

Kind of, but all individual squadrons were invited to that activity so I don’t think the wingness of part of my access is necessarily a factor.

This made me think of a useful bit of funcationality - how easy would it be to create a button to remove all units from an applicaiton that have no cadets or staff added?

That would be used after the deadline passes and you want to trim down to only those units that are attending (and reduce the associated number of chase emails required for people to do their travel declarations…)

I think this is covered by our recent paper to the Command Board making recommendations about Wing, Region and Corps Staff Officers being able to interact with SMS events and Cadet Portal more effectively.

One of the recommendations we make is that when a unit is invited to an event, they have the opportunity to provide a nil return if they are not able to support the event. They will have to provide a reason and/or click some options as to why they are putting in a nil return.

This would then remove them from the event automatically which would fix your current headache.

The deadline for feedback on this paper is 10 Feb. I won’t be drawn on the other recommendations made (specifically relating to whether a staff officer should be to push events to Cadet Portal events), so please don’t ask

After a period of use I’ve become a little more ambivalent towards this to be perfectly honest - ultimately I think I’ve come to the opinion that it’s not my problem. The opportunity is there and if the unit chooses not to publish it, don’t moan at a later date when cadets are asking why their mates got the opportunity from a nearby sqn.

The nil return function sounds like a good answer to me!

Also, pretty please, can we have a ‘delete selected’ button…so that I can tick the cadets I want to delete and then delete them all in one go?

As I’ve just tried to delete a load of withdrawn cadets off an event… but when I delete one, the sorting is removed… so then I have to re-sort… then delete one… and so on.

Something we discovered last night was that we want to run a squadron camp but open a few places to other units in our sector. There will be 4 places available for the 3 other units but I can’t just set an overall bidding number, I have to allocate each unit a number. Currently I can either offer them 4 each (and maybe have 12 cadets miss out) or I can offer 2 each and assume 1 unit won’t even advertise it.

Any ideas of a solution for that?

Why don’t you offer 6 places to 3 units and manage the bidding process and have a cadet from each unit as a reserve?

Sorry my maths is wrong there, but you know what I mean.
