Is it possible for a staff member to do AVIP outside of their Wing/ Region?
Bonus question, If yes… how would one find one that is running?
I don’t see why not, but you’d have to get in touch with the respective Wing to be invited. They may have them on their Wing SharePoint page somewhere, but if they only put them on SMS then you won’t be able to see them unless your unit is invited.

From what I remember of mine, there was quite a bit about the wing organisation and personalities: so I’m not sure what value there would be in doing with another wing.

I was recently told when trying to find some dates for a new CI just starting the join process, that “soon” AVIP will be moving away from F2F delivery and be a Learn course that will be added to the requirements of the Join process.
Additionally some Regions currently run them with each Wing delivering in rotation, so it’s possible to do it with another Wing but as has already been said finding one can be tricky

Yes in SW its run regionally now, with each wing doing 2 per year virtually (so one a month) and shared to the entire region

This is an eminently sensible idea. Standardisation, sharing workload and resources. All we need now is the new AVIP package to be released and jobs a goodun.

It seems that it is acceptable to go outside of your wing to do AVIP as long as it’s cleared with your CoC. As some have suggested sharepoint is a great way to find them… AVIP booked.
