just once per week usually, day of the week is SQN dependent, usually for 3-4hrs

Do you still have the blue wool slouch hats? Or is that just RAAF?

Nah we have khaki slouch hats, the RAAF also switched as well but we keep the blue puggaree with the required hat badge, also we don’t flick up the side like the army but the buckle to do so is there if needed

Hi say if I am a RAF cadet ( UK ) if i were to move back home to Australia would I have a easy transition Prosess over and would i be able to keep my ranks. I may moving back to QLD!

Thanks

OP hasn’t been back since their last post.

I suspect the experience would transfer well to taking part in their activities and courses, but they work very differently to us and therefore you wouldn’t be able to directly transfer anything.

But that’s an educated guess.

Don’t know about their joining process.

Hi!

I am a hopeful LCDT and I’m writing a minute to be promoted to CCPL. Do you have any tips on writing minutes or the roles and responsibilities of a corporal?

Thank you so much

I love the way the RAAF / AAFC treat leading aircraftman / cadet as equivalent to an Army lcpl. We should have kept it the same, rather than allowing it to become a development rank (now retitled air specialist class 2, of course).

Just try your best and look for opportunities, all of them. If you go on lots of activities and learn a lot of knowledge, you will be miles ahead of other cadets of similar intake just through experience. Also be professional at cadets, people see it and notice that your attitude is good, not just a can’t be botheres type attitude.

With minutes, be concise and straight to the point, no one wants to read filler words. Also make your points clear and thoughtful.
