ATC histories

:? Greetings to all, i’m 73 and an ex RAF Airframe ‘rigger’ of 12 years, and started my interest in A/C from the tender age of 7, and when I was 15, along with my best friend, we joined the ATC at Pendeford (ex Boulton and Paul factory) near Wolverhampton.
I’m trying to establish the ATC Sqdn number from that period, 1950’s onward, and today I believe it to be called the Fordhouses 1042 or 1045Sqdn.
As i’m trying to write up my Forces history for the benefit of my grandchildren, I would appreciate any help to establish if the Sqdn number is correct. :?
In anticipation.
Thank you.
Paul.

Fordhouses is 1046 Sqn,

Their home page says founded in 1969, which wouldn’t tie in with the timescale.

However, this article looks to give a better date option, worth tracking down Alec Brew?
