If you have permission to ‘Author’ an article on the front end an extra menu will appear under the login menu on the front page.
Editors and publishers can create and edit articles by clicking on the ‘Edit’ icon that will appear next to the article on the ACC Blog
Hope that makes sense - if you’re not seeing any of these items you don’t have the permissions 
H I couldn’t see much at all on the front page but I can see buttons in your post including “moderate”
yeah, you’ve got the moderate buttons here on the forum as i’ve added you as a mod.
You’re also a Publisher on the front end for the articles - so if you go ‘home’ you’ll see bottom right a menu that says Create Article. Then if you go to the blog link there is an article called Scholarships and there should be a little Edit icon to it’s right - that gives you some options - except you might not be able to in this case as the article was written by a Super User. But that’s the theory!

Yep I found that button, what were all those script boxes for? It didn’t have the appearance of a typical opening post in a thread.

Yep, I clicked on the create article button and was led to the page with lots of boxes. Didn’t seem terribly intuitive but perhaps I’m just tired!
That part is for adding content to the main site not the forum - so you can write full articles that appear on the blog - at least for now
