I’m looking at applying for a position in the near future, can anyone give an insight into the process please?
What does the application entail?
Who is likely to be on the board if you sit one ? ( I know Rgnl applications go straight to the Rgnl Cmdt)
I have done just over 2 years as a CI and i’m currently in the process of going into uniform, the position i would be applying for is somewhat similar to my day to day roles and I would love to combine two of my passions.
When I applied for DepWWO i gave a bit of brief bit about me and how I can bring that into the role
I highlighted opportunities (try and put a positive swing on things) and my thoughts around how to improve upon them.
Created a bit of a cadet career CV to attach to the application
It varies from Wing to Wing and post to post.
I have applied for a few bits down the line
For one I provided a CV and then had an Interview with the Wing Co and an SME.
For another I was just asked to provide a written CV plus a short plane of what I would do if I got the job.
For another I provided a written expression of interest and then found out I hadn’t got the job when Wing announced that someone else had got the job on a nod. (I left that swing shortly afterwards).
