Browsing the RAF website the other day and was surprised to see that AVM Phil Robinson, Air Officer Commanding No 11 Group, has been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross three times! A DFC and two bars was a rare enough feat during the intense combat environment of WW2 so to do so in more modern times is quite some achievement. Is he the most decorated individual currently serving in the RAF? Must certainly be a contender.
