Ammo difficulties

Good point. But my guess would be that they would still apply as you were doing shooting as a cadet activity and therefore MoD rules would prevail, regardless of whether they were NSWs with civvy ammunition. Ask your SATT?

I’ve just been officially informed by our Wg shooting bod. It’s only taken him 5 days to let us all know…

ACO efficiency, eh? You can’t beat it…

5 days? The new requirements have been in effect since December!

I’ve seen an email train which suggests HQAC didn’t filter to Regions until 11 Jan…

We found out 7 days later…

It left Air in December. When it reached HQAC god knows.

During Xmas leave?

Wasn’t there an enforced long duration shutdown over xmas?

Nope, prior.

it would seem there is an update

  1. The recent draconian restrictions on the movement of ammunition involving 4 VR(T) and a second escort vehicle have been rescinded. All ammunition (.22/5.56/7.72) may now be moved in accordance with normal ACP 26 rules however, the following lesser restrictions now apply:

a. A maximum of 2700 rounds only per vehicle.

b. A max travel range of 50 miles.

c. A telephone (mobile) contact, with designated central point of control, on safe arrival of ammunition or police notification if no contact.

I’ve removed a post concerning the update as it’s possibly restricted.

PM to original poster:

It was.

Im sorry, but how do you manage to lose a rifle?!

With great difficulty…but it can be done, remember our future king did it once!

Now 40x L9 bar mines, they must be REALLY easy to lose, each being 1.2M long and containing over 8Kg of explosives afterall…

They were stolen, not “lost”.
