Close game. Rams were better defensively. Although, the Bengals had a more mobile QB, There wasnāt enough strength behind their O-Line to stop the pressure.
Plus towards the closing minute, they caused themselves so many penalties which resulted in the Rams gaining new 1st Downs on each play closer to the end zone. It was just a matter of time before the punched it in to End Zone unfortunately.
Iy got to a point where they almost needed to let the Rams in to preserve the clock.
