I’ve met some of the Sponsered Reservists that are part of this: both ex regular RAF and pure civilian backgrounds. Nice blokes.

Seems the non tanking duties have changed since I looked into FSTA for university.

Prolly cost their main hopefully customer in bmi went bang, they regularly leased extra summer capacity and provided the A330 for the initial wake vortex trials.

so when used by this 3rd party its still flying in raf colours? could make for some interesting holiday snaps

No RAF markings on the voyager that was used. Just a grey frame.

The photo in the link above as G-VYGG in the “civvy” colour scheme - the same tactical grey with “Transport Command” cheat line as the military registered aircraft, but with no RAF identification (as shown in the picture above of one of the ZZ aircraft). It doesn’t have any, er, knobbly bits (for want of a better word) either, if you know what I mean. :slight_smile:

Had a peek around ZZ331 the other week. What an aeroplane. Light years ahead of what it will replace.
