Air Cadets Wordpress theme

All,

your opinions please!

I’m still looking at a WordPress theme as a “standard” for ACO blogs/sites (as well as a little project I have up my sleeve).

Some questions for you:

  1. Which style of theme would suit best - 1/2/3 column?
  2. What sort of colour scheme - light/dark/blue etc?
  3. Is mobile/responsive design important to you?
  4. Which plugins do you like/always use?

many thanks

DJ

Personally I imagine that 3 columns is the best approach, one for twitter feed, main content, and latest news/photos.

Probably the best route would be a standard “Air Cadets” colour theme, so perhaps a “wedge-wood blue” background, dark blue border, and then lighter blue columns.

In this age of mobile devices, a mobile friendly design would be very useful.

From sqn sites I have seen, I imagine that plugins such as twitter, Google calendar, photo galleries, commenting, and members area would be very useful.

The style guide colour palette is a nice range to choose from…

Where do I find it?

wdimagineer2b may be referring to the colour palette I picked for ACC Learn, available here.

And I thought nobody had noticed :silly:

Sorry, I meant to come back with a link but I got called away and then promptly forgot.

I was referring to the ACO Media Style Guide.

Pages 5 and 6 specify a palette in Pantone, CMYK, RGB, and Hex notation.

Sorry…
