As above I’m trying to find staff paperwork for a sgt to join the aef. I have been told you can get it as an annex to acp20b by the aef boss. The paperwork is for a friend and the boss couldn’t get internet etc. hence I’m trying to find it for them. Anybody know where to get a copy for them.
The AEF boss is a little out of date but essentially correct.
ACP20B is obsolete and the personnel instructions are now in ACP20.
Personnel Instruction 504 in ACP20 deals with the appointment of FSCs to AEFs and the form “Pers Form 5-04” (on sharepoint, in the controlled documents/forms section) is what is needed to apply.
Thank you very much I shall see what I can do since it’s in the controlled section. I don’t believe Cdt NCOs can get them. Looks like speaking to some Sqn staff. Thanx again.
Hi Cope, welcome to ACC.
When you say this…
…I detect a possible confusion that’s been repeated in a number of places (and not just sometimes in the ACO) . The term Controlled Documents simply means that any forms, guides, publications contained within a designated folder or document set are subject to regular or scheduled amendment / update, and should always be referred back to, as the originating source, to ensure currency.
That’s a completely-different situation from document security classifications. There is not an automatic expectation that access to use such ‘controlled documents’ would be limited. In fact, within contexts such as safety, or operational settings, ensuring the use of the most-recent ‘AL’ version of a document can be absolutely essential. So: it’s actually the observance of a document management system, probably within some type of defence version of ISO9001…not a protective marking sign saying “you can’t see this”.
Does that make sense?

ps people confusing PMS with DMS…weirdly common in parts of the defence sector
