I was wondering if anyone knew if the ACPNS was still going? The only documentation I’ve been able to find on Sharepoint seems fairly dated.
ACPNS ???
I do not know this FLA
According to the docs I’ve seen I’m mistaken it should be a SLA!
AIR CADETS PILOT NAVIGATION TRAINING SCHEME
Yes it is still going.
I’ve recently completed my ACPS and a friend of mine in a nearby squadron is doing an ACPNS

Arrse provides this guidance: "TLAs (Three-Letter Acronyms) replaced obsolete TLAs (Two-Letter Acronyms) after WW2 when it was realised that the Forces needed more possibilities than TLAs allowed.
TLAs of both kinds have now been largely been surpassed by MLAs (Multi-Letter Acronyms). TLAs are technically abbreviations, whereas MLAs provide an open-ended opportunity for total Acronym Overload."
ACPNTS is still going as I have just been awarded a place. if you search for it on Google
the ACTO document comes up and it contains the application forms and all the information you should need if you are interested in it.
Would have been but I doubt I’ll still be in the corps for next year’s courses.
