A couple of questions on behalf of my son

Folks. Need some help from those in the know.

My son completed his first aid course when it was Heart Start but is under the impression he is now entitled to wear the Bronze first aid badge. Is this correct?

Also he currently has the bronze road marching badge for doing WARMA and Cosford road marching. Same again, he is under the impression he is now entitled to wear the silver road marching badge as Cosford counts as silver.

Any ideas if he’s right?

TIA.

WRT to the first aid, bronze is for Youth First Aid, which is the next step up from Heartstart/Essential First Aid. They can continue to wear the Heartstart badge until they either complete YFA, or the new EFA.

(EFA being essential first aid which replaced Heartstart.)

ACRoMaTI says he should be able to wear the Silver badge for completing WARMA (both days) - would be suprised that is wasnt issued though.

Sorry, my misunderstanding. He didn’t get anything for Winter WARMA apart from a medal when he did it. He got bronze for Cosford. All done before the criteria changed for road marching awards.

He can upgrade his badge via the Wing and regional RMO. If you are in WW region you can contact the RRMO direct. I am sure that he will be very helpful   .
