After a leave of absence from all things air cadets. I have recently moved to the Epsom area and I am keen to get involved with a local squadron as an instructor.
I was out cycling and spotted what appears to be my local squadron 323 Epsom and Ewell. Does anyone on here have any connections to said squadron or represent another nearby squadron that is interested in a potential volunteer instructor?
It would be great to find out more about your unit and hopefully arrange to pop by one evening to discuss in some more detail.
Quick bio: I joined the ATC in Glasgow and West Scotland Wing back in 1997. I was a Cadet Flight Sergeant and later an Instructor CFS. I then become a Civilian Instructor before I joined the University OTC and stopped short of signing my life away to Sandhurst due to civvy street making me an offer I couldn’t refuse.
I was involved in a whole range of activities over the years and some of my career highlights included Gliding Solo, Nijgmegen Marches, my Gold D of E, Gibraltar, Junior Leaders 4 (first national course), RAF winter training in Bavaria and representing the UK on the International Air Cadet Exchange to Australia.
Oh and of course being one of the first ever ACC moderators (before we were famous 
)
