You know what really makes me laugh?

RAF Cranwell’s latest IG post regarding 6 FTS new OC not even recognising RAF Air Cadets as a way of inspiring STEM (or even recognising the flying cadets can do as part of her remit) :man_facepalming:

Shows us where the new OCs priorities lie…

Interesting that the article goes far enough to identify kids in the 9-14 age bracket which has RAFAC overlap

(Also why 9-14…?)

Air Scouts?
GVC?

Or some parity with the sea cadets that no one yet knows about…

Schools programmes?

Probably a money or materials supply funnel of some sort involved somewhere whatever it actually is.

Proving to the wife that we’ve not been together for 5 years despite her claims!

Using the PJM criteria? What counts as an effective training year?

Using maths and the date that Spider-Man: Homecoming was released. :joy:

I’m cross qualifying across the profession so am having to sit a mandatory pointless 3 day advocacy course.

Pretty sure the tutor hasn’t been in a court room since 1972.
So far:
Men, No judge will allow you to appear before them in any court in the country with brown shoes, or if you forget your waistcoat.

Women,. You must have your hair in a ponytail, the judge won’t hear you if your hair is down. Also, don’t assume that showing cleavage will help you. The judge might be queer and disgusted by the sight of it.

Waistcoats is a lol,

but the last point about queer judges is accurate in my local experience.

Speaking as an authority on this matter, that will depend on how much whiskey the judge has had:

If none, he is likely correct.

If lots: they are fascinating, how do they work? I want a pair! We’re now best friends. You win the case.

Has he been watching My Cousin Vinny too much?

It’s a fair point, no one can be taken seriously wearing brown shoes.

Certainly not in s black suit or paired with a different colour belt!

Changing the Met Commissioner will make any difference to what people in the Met think, say and views they hold. The biggest message to put out there is still, do not put things on social media as there are too many people who take offence for the sake of it. If people get caught out by putting things on SM … they need to wise up.

The biggest message is actually don’t be an absolute *ban hammer magnet word" and give your colleagues a bad name thus destroying the relationship with the community

Making me laugh right now? Filling in the course feedback form and absolutely slating the tutor who would have failed MOI and almost certainly presentation skills. Then at the end “do you consent to us using your feedback on the testimonials page of our website?” Sure thing, I don’t think you’ll want to though

I think the police’s general inability to deal with that criminal activity that affects people personally has destroyed the relationship with the community, not some SM posts etc, like the media and liberal chattering classes like to suggest. People report burglaries etc just for insurance claims not because they have any faith in the police doing anything. Similarly if you are attacked, no faith in anything happening, unless the police happen to turn up and the perpetrator is still there. When it comes to things like Remembrance Parades the police are noticeable by their absence, another thing seen negatively by the community when you listen to comments in the gathered masses and organising groups.

The only people, people see the police able to deal with are motorists as they are an easy touch due to the ID badges on the front and back of their vehicles and increasingly this is via Big Brotheresque cameras, not because they were actually there to catch them.

As usual John Sutherland tells it exactly how it is.
