What is the badge?

Anyone know what the red (and yellow?) badge below the first aid badge is?

That’s clearly a CCF cadet (AST heats in the Regt hangar at Halton; Wg Cdr CCF on the right hence officer in beret in blues, as he’s ex-Regt). It’s probably an illegal Army CCF badge on a brassard, sadly not uncommon; not easy to see but could it be SCIC?

Looks to me like the designator for which weapon system he gained his marksman on.

Could be. There is definitely a gap between the words. And the rifle looks the wrong colour (CCF RAF should be light blue on red background and that could be gold so it could be an Army badge).

Irritates me when CCFs do this!

I guess he’s the senior cadet from the winners, Dulwich? He does look familiar.

I was there yesterday judging an element of the First Aid competition. It was the AST finals.

The officer on the right is Wg Cdr CCF and yes, he’s ex-RAF Regiment. I saw the Brigadier knocking about but I didn’t find out who he was.

The badge? Probably as tmmorris describes. I’ve seen the CWO but never went close enough to see what the badges were.

Brig Matt Lowe, I recognise the face and he’s now GOC Regional Command so in charge of ACF and CCF overall.

Missed opportunity: should have been a Commodore.

Think I’ve found the badge (the first aid one) Any particular reason this flash would be worn,

?

Forget about the badge, what about the helo pad!!!

Nice one on Matt Lowe.

Good spot on the First Aid. Some CCFs are dumb and issue the wrong badges to RAF - e.g. if the RAF section cadet does a course with the Army section they issue the badge. One school at the AST heats had a whole load of Army and RN badges.

I’ve met that Brigadier somewhere. Gunner, do you know who he is?

I guess he’s the Maj Matthew Lowe referred to here:
