I’ve just checked one of my cadets and they are showing up fine
It was all the cadets, then I’ve tried just now and can see the results. How odd.
It seems to come and go routinely for me.
Will it show results today? Is Mercury in retrograde? It is?.. Oh well then forget it.
How about tomorrow? Ah well, tomorrow the 7th moon of Jupiter is closer to the earth, so yes that’ll show the results fine.

Does anyone have the issue of being randomly returned to the main SMS dashboard after clicking on something in SMS?
Couple of recent examples. Clicking to approve an event as adult IC and once page has reloaded i’m back on main dashboard without event being approved. Another has been clicking the cadet list to see who from the unit is attending to then be put back to main dashboard again.
Its not limited to activites/events and will often happen when clicking though cadet or staff profiles as well. Generally if I go back in and click the same part that returned me to the dashboard it will work but it is quite annoying.
Yes, but mainly with activities not other SMS stuff.

Cadet Portal has been updated to v2.3.3 this evening. This was a minor release and there was no interruption to users. The release includes the new How to Guide on the BAE Systems Fast Track Apprenticeship Scheme for RAF Air Cadets which has been added to the Avition section in the Training Dashboard.

Cadet Portal Release 2.4.0
Happy New Year!
Cadet Portal v2.4.0 has been released today with no interruptions to users. Full release notes can be found at this link on the Bader Hub.
This release includes new functionality that warns a cadet when they have signed up/added their name to one or many events that have conflicting dates or if they create an absence that clashes with an event they have signed up/added their name to. Appropriate warnings are displayed on the individual event page and the Attendance page as required.

I believe it was brought up a while ago but I cannot remember if you addressed it or not. I was wondering about the feasibility of email/text notification via Gov.UK Notify for announcements issued by squadron staff for their own cadets if the squadron has added a Notify API Key for their own squadron account?
I imagine this feature would be disabled by default, but if a squadron were to set themselves up with Gov.uk Notify then I imagine the integration with SMS and CP would be welcomed by sqn staff who do use Notify.

Yes, we are aware of the need to integrate more notifications to GOV.UK Notify and it is on the roadmap

Love to hear it. That in itself will, in my opinion, transform the way sqns communicate with their cadets.

An interesting feature to be added to Cadet Portal which will go live on 31st Jan. Staff should probably consider updating the photo on their SMS profile . . .

We are endeavouring to do the whole internal comms through the CoC with a week-long air gap before publishing to social media.

Cadet Portal has been updated to version 2.5.0 which includes a number of new features and improvements. We have had some issues with this release but I think most of them have been resolved or are on the way to being resolved after some hard work from the perm staff and volunteers.
Highlights include:
A new method for displaying Announcements within Cadet Portal with a new banner across the top of each screen. Cadets can mark announcements as “read” on the Announcements page, which will allow future reporting of announcement uptake with cadets. They can also click the banner from any page and be taken straight to the Announcements page.
A new page has been developed which displays a list of all of the current CFAVs volunteering on the cadet’s unit, drawn from SMS. This will help the cadets identify who is who on the unit so they can direct the right questions to the right adult volunteer.
We have added another new page which displays a list of all of the current Civilian Committee members on the cadet’s unit, again drawn from SMS, which can be found under the new My Unit menu item.
