Itâs not really pestering if itâs the staffâs fault for not keeping on top of admin though.
There are lots of reasons why SMS might not be correct or a badge might not have been issued.
Actually youâre right. Lots of cadets come to us claiming badges theyâve not earned.
I hadnât thought of that problem. Now theyâre finally going to be able to see how poor we are at maintaining the back end admin!
Whereas weâve known the same about their badmin for years and years!
We never pretended theirs was otherwise. Now theyâll see the true scale of the hypocrisy!
Itâs been highlighted as one of the biggest issues with this.
50+ cadets my training Officers role is a huge admin effort.
Get them a deputy or split the role.
T.O. âdone wellâ has always seemed like the biggest job on a squadron.
We have 90+ cadets and have two people handling the training role. One focuses on the intake training and the other everything else and maintains an overview, makes the role a hundred times more manageable!

Yeah 60 cadets all at different stages of training was the biggest ball ache of my time in the RAFAC
I gave mine all a telling off last week for wearing badges theyâre technically not eligible for because they havenât told us theyâve done the requisite parts.
Hopefully when the portal becomes live and they log in theyâll see for themselves.
trouble is that the individual criteria for different badges canât currently be uploaded to sms, so weâre still reliant on some sort of chart or spreadsheet to record that.

What do we do next? Is it possible for us to resend the registration email, or do we need to ask someone to do it?
You can either go to SMS -> User Accounts to resend the activation email or go to the CP webpage -> sign in -> canât access my account (select business account when asked)
Iâve found just resending the welcome email has worked for all of mine.
Sounds like mail providers dropping email.
We used to find ~10% of all mail we sent never got deliveredâŚ
If the emails are in spam/junk, we need the cadets mark them as not spam which will help the email providers learn that those emails are not junk and are legit
