I’m not against the use of AI for creative materials in general, Photoshop has some really useful AI features for example.
But the public models just seem to turn out the same stuff, over saturated colours, characters with big eyes and the overall look and feel of a Ladybird illustration on acid.

To be clear, I was talking about the people throwing a sentence into ChatGPT and just using that abomination, not AI tools in Photoshop and Canva etc

Unfortunately it all starts looking the same pretty quickly.
If you’ve ever noticed posters generated by people in different communities, you quickly notice that at exactly the moment they’re trying to differentiate themselves, it’s like they’ve hired an inaccurate artist who basically churns out the same thing, but different, each time.
I’ve seen lots of performers with things like playing cards in the background and they’re always wrong.

That’s the problem with “Creatives”!
It’s a trend on TikTok so they’re just bandwagonning
AI is fine but the output needs to be checked properly to make sure it isn’t ridiculous. I was very annoyed seeing Armed Forces posters put out by the RBL featuring RAF, Royal Navy, and a Ukrainian soldier. Couldn’t even be bothered to check the camo.

I don’t believe that is AI actually, a few photo editing tools have the gear for it built in - as mentioned it’s a bit of a trend and I’ve seen a few how to videos pop up
No its not. And I’m not suggesting it is…
But its a “fake” image using computer magic and it made me “think of this thread” given the common theme and thought I’d share what the RAF is putting out into the public
